Capture Foundation International N.G.O, in partnership with Wananchi Jamii Maternity and Nursing Home, is proposing to establish a dialysis center to provide affordable dialysis services to the community in Kajiado County, Kenya.
The nursing home recognizes the need for dialysis services in the region, as many patients currently have to travel long distances to access this essential service, facing challenges like heavy traffic, transport costs, and long queues. Their research indicates that there is no other dialysis center within their locality, which has a population close to a million residents.
The nursing home has the necessary infrastructure, including laboratory equipment, X-Ray machines, Ultra Sound machines, and maternity services. They are confident in their ability to effectively provide the proposed dialysis services, synchronizing with the objectives of Capture Foundation International N.G.O.
The proposed plan involves acquiring dialysis machines and having dedicated staff to operate them. The nursing home will offer space within their facility and create a suitable environment for patients to receive this essential service.
Capture Foundation International will collaborate by facilitating funds and ensuring proper use of donated equipment. The resources will be shared between the partners at an agreed ratio to enable smooth operations and maintenance.
The project aims to have two dialysis machines initially, one for HIV-positive and one for HIV-negative patients, with the capacity to increase as demand rises. The partners will jointly consider needy cases from the society that can be addressed without payment, aiming to give back to the community through this noble project.
